OnDjoss

OnDjoss is an African messaging application built by Africans for the world that combines a simple interface with secure communication tools. It lets you send text messages and voice notes, make high-quality audio and video calls, participate in group conversations and share short stories, while keeping files and chats backed up on cloud servers. People who don’t have your phone number can still contact you using a pseudonym so your number remains private. If you want an easy-to-use messenger with strong security and automatic device sync, OnDjoss covers core messaging needs.

Key Features

⭐ Free messaging using your airtime data: send texts without extra per-message charges because OnDjoss uses your device data or airtime to transmit messages.

⭐ Private contacts and pseudonyms: someone who doesn’t have your number can chat with you in private using only your pseudonym while your phone number stays hidden.

⭐ High-quality voice notes: record and send vocal messages to express ideas quickly and clearly.

⭐ Secure audio and video calls: make free, protected conversations with good call quality for one-to-one connections.

⭐ Group discussions up to 500 members: create private group chats to keep family, friends, or colleagues in touch.

⭐ Cloud backup and automatic sync: OnDjoss stores your files and messages on servers and restores them when you sign in on a new device.

Advantages

✅ Emphasis on privacy and security: OnDjoss highlights protection of data and states that calls and messages are highly secured.

✅ Simple, locally inspired design: created by Africans for a global audience with usability and clarity in mind.

✅ Automatic backup and multi-device recovery: chats and media are kept on the cloud so you retrieve them on a new device without manual transfer.

✅ Rich multimedia options: support for voice notes, drawings, stories and high-quality calls gives more ways to communicate than plain text.

Disadvantages

❎ Requires mobile data or airtime to send messages, so offline messaging is limited.

❎ Files and messages are stored on servers, which may be a concern for users who prefer local-only storage.

❎ Group size is capped at 500 members, which may not suit very large communities.
